Five days and counting.

Good morning. It's Saturday morning in Iowa (which makes it Saturday night in Singapore) and I am just five days from departure to Singapore. Five days. Oh my! My training at work has completed. I feel it went very well, but I guess the real test will be when I get to Singapore and have to actually be doing the work! Thankfully I have two weeks with the current person in Singapore, so I'll have some more training too. It's so odd to be packing my clothes and preparing for a leave of this magnitude. I feel as though I'm going in slow motion, but I also feel as though I'm making progress each day. It seems I've gotten more and more emotional as I go along. Yesterday at work some people came by to say goodbye to me, and that made me cry each and every time. I am so excited for my adventure, but goodbye's are very, very hard.
