It's a banner day...my work visa arrived. It was a long path, but I am now officially ok'd to be working in Singapore. It gives me great relief!!!!
To celebrate I went out tonight and spent the very first dollars I have spent on anything other than food and transportation....pretty amazing after being here ten full days now!!! I purchased a fun pen (of course, office supplies), a book and a small case to carry my train pass in. Okay, so I didn't really splurge, in fact, I spent just under $20 USD, but hey, I felt like I was really celebrating this big event!!!!
When I told my Mom my visa came, she said "Whew, I was worried Doug and I would have to come and bail you out." What a hoot!
